Grayson Perry, Comfort Blanket

Continuing Display

Graves Gallery

Grayson Perry’s huge, bold tapestry is real visitor favourite at the Graves Gallery.

Weaving together common phrases, people and institutions into the format of a £10 note, it explores what Britishness means and questions who defines it.

Comfort Blanket presents a complex and contradictory picture of Britain, one that invites us to reflect on national identity and how we each relate to it.
