There are lots of ways the museums can support Further and Higher Education groups, from talks by our curators through to opportunities for live projects based on our work.

Explore the different ways we can welcome and collaborate with you below and then get in touch with us via the link at the bottom of the page.

Bespoke Sessions

We can offer bespoke tours, talks and workshops at any of the museums to suit your needs. Whether it’s a tour focussing on local industry, a life drawing class, or a chance to use the metalwork handling collection to inspire creative writing, we’ll work with you to develop the perfect session.

Outreach Talks

We’re happy to come to you – if you’re interested in a session with our Learning or Curatorial teams delivered on your site, just contact us to find out more.

Tutor-led Visits

Tutors are welcome to bring groups for free self-guided visits to any of the museums during regular opening hours. Whichever site you visit, you’ll find lots of inspiration in the exhibitions and displays.

You’ll just need to book your teacher-led visit with us – we’ll then help you get them most from your time with us, and also so make sure the museums don’t get overcrowded. You can find info on how to book your visit here

Live Projects

The museums and the collections they celebrate can provide inspiration for a wide range of projects. If you have a project in mind, get in touch with the Learning team at learning@sheffieldmuseums.org.uk
